Y5/6 Jarrow Hall Trip
18th November 2019
On Monday 18th November years 5 and 6 visited Jarrow Hall to further their learning about the Anglo-Saxons. The children were guided around the site by an expert guide, Catherine, who showed the children around a reconstruction of an Anglo-Saxon farm and village. Other highlights included a mock trial of their teacher, Mr Fernandes, who was found guilty and sentenced to the stocks. Perhaps the most enjoyable activity was the re-enactment of an Anglo-Saxon battle - all the children, armed with swords and shields, laid into each other with great enthusiasm.
